We are using SaaS providers more and more and it would be great to analyze the paths, hop counts, latency between and within router hops when confronting a vendor with performance problems they blame on our ISP. We have SAM and WPM and they help once we get to a vendor's site but they don't help to see what is along the path to that vendor's site. The Engineer's Toolset has Trace Route, but it is a table only - no graphs. The Engineer's Toolset Trace Route tool can be accessed from Orion's web GUI, but licensing the entire Toolset for everyone isn't practical. And while tables are great, a visual map below the table (like Visualware's Route Test) or a visual map to the right of the table (like a project plan Gantt chart) would be very helpful. We would create a NOC view with path information to all our SaaS vendors as monitoring the health of the path to those services can be just as important as the services themselves when there are multiple ISP's and routers along the path.
