Why don't we have an Inherit from Template option on Component Monitors ?
Please find the details below:
1. Create a template assign it to the node.
2. Once you assign it to a node an instance of the template would be placed on the node which is nothing but an application monitor on the node
3. Click on application monitor for a specific node and when you get into edit application monitor you get onto the above page
4. You do have an option to modify polling frequency and polling template through override template
5. You do have an option inherit order from template and you do have a Delete option (delete option is good in a way but at the same time it is a concern for me)
6. Its easy to delete a component monitor from a node but its not that simple to get it back (we have several ways to get it back though)
7. Why can't we have a "inherit from template" option on component monitors - where I can sync back the components from the template it was created?
Example : Would be very simple, say I have created a template with 10 monitors, I apply the template onto the node. Rather than disable I use a delete on 9 monitors from the above view. For now I am happy with just one monitor, say after a couple of months I would want to monitor all 10 of them - there is no way to get it back on application component monitors view on the node. I will have to remove the template assigned to the node and then I will have to re-assign the same template back to the node.
Either the Delete button on application component monitors view need's to be removed (just retain enable / disable) OR an additional flexibility should be provided to get the monitors back from the template onto this directly.
