The TCP waterfall chart functionality needs the ability to show data from previous polling intervals for troubleshooting capability.
Without the historical data, the waterfall servers no purpose. We need to be able to go back in time to see what component on a page caused slowness, or didn't load.
Totally agree the Waterfall Chart needs to be available for historical transaction steps.

Effectively I'd expected WPM to record the HAR (Http Archive) data that generates the waterfall for each transaction job. Then within WPM it can graph growth in page size / request count / load time etc.
I would agree, this is a crucial part of the tool and the only thing that separates it from running debug in a browser.

This is definitely needed. I opened a Support ticket because it just seemed logical that I could look at a slow playback in WPM and go to historical data about that playback to see what was slow. I was very disappointed to find out that this was not already built in the product.
Agreed that this is needed. The chart is essentially useless right now as 95% of the time it's only needed to diagnose a previous issue.
a way around this is to get the webpage emailed to you when you get an alert for a failed transaction
That would be fantastic. Please share how you do this as it never works for me.
Totally agree and want this feature. The first thing a web administrator asks for when they see the waterfall chart is a way to go back and look at the data overtime.
The alert to email the chart wallyollie suggested is a good stop gap but its not a good long term solution.
This is what we do as well. You do not get all of the details but it is better than nothing.
