Hardware Health Status For Unmanaged Nodes Should Be Unmanaged

We have a large number of nodes in Solarwinds (over 600) whose hardware status is showing either "Unknown", "Critical" or "Warning". When I look into this I find that a good number of these Nodes are unmanaged!
When Nodes are unmanaged, Solarwinds automatically unmanages any Applications, Volumes and interfaces associated with that node. So why not the Hardware health?

This is inconsistent behaviour. It is cluttering up my Summary views. I know I can filter unmanaged nodes from the views, but that's not what I need.

I think that this is probably an oversight & it should be corrected.

I reported a similar issue years ago, high packet loss alerts triggering on an unmanaged nodes. SW response was this is how it's designed and working properly (huh?). Hardware alerts still trigger on unmanaged nodes even when the hardware monitor is disabled. I doubt this will be corrected.
