Allow Polling of Hitachi Disk Array Host Groups for Reporting

Requesting that the SRM polling engine be expanded to gather the defined host groups on Hitachi disk subsystems for Dashboard publishing and for reporting purposes. Our organization has multiple business units that are hosted on our shared HDS disk subsystems. We want to provide custom reports for the customers to show their servers SAN disk allocations, usage, etc., by host group definitions on our HDS disk subsystems. Nowhere have I found this in SRM v6.7.0 reporting module. One would think this would be a standard field pulled into SRM by default, especially for reporting purposes.

I don`t follow. Putting in more generic SRM terms:

1. Some Luns are used exclusively by hosts in one host group.

2. You want to see these LUNs grouped by the host group.

That is correct. I want to be able to run reports by LUN assignments in the host group(s). I want to be able to produce the reports and send to our customer BU’s.
