My wireless controllers are the child of the upstream device (the core switch) When the core goes down I do not receive alerts or tickets in Service Now for the WLCs. My floor switches are the upstream devices for the access points. All of my switches are also childs of the core. I do not receive alerts when the switch goes down. However, every time we lose power I get alerts for every single access point but not the switch and not the wireless controller.
I would like a feature that would allow me to suppress the AP alerts when the upstream devices go down.
These are Aruba APs.
