We have a scenario, where we have large number of sites with design which has complete redundant design, redundant head end routers and redundant circuits etc.
so its not common that we lose whole site by losing one circuit or one router,
but in case of power outage we lose whole site and in that case we get individual alerts for each and every node.
we want to decrease the alerting noise and generate single alert for complete site, we have custom property called site.
So lets say we have 10 devices at Site A and we lose the site, we want just one alert that SITE A is down , instead of getting 10 different alerts for each node.
i tried creating groups as well, but tech explained us that we cannot generate alerts based on group and its better to use dependency, but when we explained the design, he asked for time to research and so far we are waiting
and as discussed in weekly General office, we have option to configure individual alert for each site, but we have large number of sites so doing it manually doesnot work.
