Seeing that SolarWinds Patch Manager has one of the best user-interface in the market, it would be great if it can be used to patch other different OS systems, for instance, the following:
1. Linux Distributions - Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, Red Hat (Enterprise), SUSE, Oracle, and Solaris.
2. VMware ESXi
3. HPUX
4. MacOSX
Other applications may also be considered, for instance, patching Office 365.
Third-party applications for Linux maybe, but not limited to the following:
1. Apache
2. Mysql
3. OpenSSH-Client
4. OpenSSH-Server
5. PHP
6. PostgreSQL
7. Python
8. Ruby
9. Samba
10. SSL
11. Openjdk-X and more.
Third-party applications for MacOSX maybe, but not limited to the following:
1. Adobe applications
2. Skype
3. Office for Mac
4. Apple applications and more.
Also another great add-on will be to patch cloud-based applications, because of the technology transition.
