Currently, you can add custom properties to alerts, however once an alert is generated, you cannot add a custom property for an individual active alert. Some examples of Custom Properties that could be helpful for individual Active Alerts:
1. Ticket Number (e.g. XYZ000123)
2. Comments (e.g. "The vendor will be onsite next week to resolve")
3. Estimated Resolution Date (e.g. "Nov 15, 2016")
4. Assignment Group (e.g. "DataCenter Network Team - 2nd Shift")
I am sure there are more that can be added. The properties would be updated from users with Node Management privileges, or they can be updated directly into the DB from external APIs, like a ticketing system.
You should be able to add the custom properties as columns on the Alert View. This would allow operation teams to see more info related to an active alarm. For example, a NOC would be able to tell who is working on the active alarm, what ticket was created, and when they plan on having it resolved.
