I've been asked to look again at implementing EOC to consolidate our NPM and NCM installs after trying it 18 months ago and being sadly disappointed with the lack of support for Orion modules, I was hoping that it would have been on at least v2 by now but no it's only on v1.4 and sadly the support is still sadly lacking and doesn't give us what we want in a consolidated view ie what we see and do in NPM, NCM, APM etc is what we get in EOC.
You can correct me if I'm wrong and probably will but there seems to be a distinct lack of development of the EOC product and while I think it can be a stunning product it's far from it.
All the Orion modules seem to have multiple upgrades per year particularly NPM but this doesn't seem to be the same for EOC, 8 months since the last release which I don't think is good enough if your going to keep up with the developments within the other modules and new modules seem to be arriving with increasing frequency EOC is always going to behind the game.
At the moment I can't even give our service desk a basic view of our Orion environment because of the differences between EOC and NPM, the biggest being the difference between the Global Node Status by Site (EOC) interfaces down small yellow blob at the top level and All Nodes views in NPM nothing at the top level for interfaces down, where are there these basic differences?
