Sadly some devices can only be backed up via a transfer initiated from the device themselves (such as VMware NSX Manager)
Thus even if the device is defined as an object in Orion (for polling etc) there is no way of NCM showing or checking the status of backup jobs.
Would it be possible to add a monitor in NCM to periodically check a directory for a new file, then alert if its successful, fails or is missing. In NCM there could be a field to capture the directory the device should write the file into.....
I'd be happy to script it in Powershell/VBscript whatever but it seems NCM dosn't still have a custom script option per node.
