I find that configuring some Orion tasks is not as smooth as it might be, simply due to the buttons in the configuration screens not staying in the same order or location from screen to screen.
It seems to be purely cosmetic. I'd like to see SW adjust the positions of the Next and Finish and Cancel buttons so they:
1. Are in the same vertical relationship to each other when progressing through configuration screens.
2. Are in the same horizontal order on each screen.
Example: Modifying the Daily Config Change Report
When I modify this Job, the Next and Finish buttons are in a specific order:
When finished with the above page, particularly if there's nothing to change on it and I want to get several pages in, I click on the Next button.
When the Choose Nodes page appears, assuming there's nothing I want to change here, I expect to be able to simply use the mouse's Scroll wheel to straight down to the Next button. But instead of landing on Next, the cursor is lined up with the Back button.
It's a little thing, but it's enough to interrupt my flow and send me back, or make me realize things aren't designed as well as they might be, and I've trained myself to not trust Orion's button locations, so I move to the right to hit Next.
On the following page, the Next button is now perfectly aligned with my mouse's scroll wheel. Nicely designed!
That is also true for the next page--Add Job Specific Rules. The Next button's aligned perfectly with where the mouse scroll wheel puts it.
And the Final page's "Finish" button is also aligned with where Next was on the previous two pages. Nicely done.
How about getting the Next button on the first page aligned with the following pages? Can that cosmetic item be accomplished?
And while you're at it, would it also be feasible to put the Cancel button in on every page? Sometimes I just want to review what's in a Job's configuration, and have no need to go all the way through it, or to back out of it.
Perhaps the best of all worlds would be to have all buttons on every page, all aligned vertically. It would mean the program would have to be able to apply the changes with the "Finish" button from any page, without forcing a person to go through to the last page. Can do?
This same alignment of buttons should be applied across the board to keep Orion products looking well thought-out and uniform. I think this was just a one-off slip; hopefully it's not too major to change easily and quickly.
