In reference to the above feature request, I would like to see the feature implemented for future release if this is all possible.
As for the Case #679390, we found out that this feature "Send an SNMP Trap in Trap Viewer" is not currently implemented in Solarwinds. Note hereby that our systems communicate only over "Traps" thus, Trap Viewer in Solarwinds should have this feature enabling it to monitor traps being sent from our systems.
Our systems do not have Syslog features (implemented on Solarwinds) so we could not use this feature.
The Case #679390 has been reported to SolarWinds Technical Support and as per their reply, they logged this feature request with development to implement the feature in later release.
We use Solarwinds to monitor all our active systems in our enterprise environment that serve some three thousand clients and by doing so, the importance of Send-SNMP Trap Alert over Trap Viewer is becoming an important feature in our environment.
We would appreciate receiving updates on the development and progress on this request.
