Hello Solarwinds Thwack,
I have observed in the Serv U FTP version 15.1.0.480 specifically in File Sharing, whenever a user sends a file to a recipient, it is not notifying back directly to the sender's email address when the recipient downloaded the file(s) and can only see the notification in said File Sharing pane instead. In this sense, putting the email address of the sender makes no sense at all but, making use of it to send the same information to the sender's email address and notifying recipient(s) that sender sends a file for download.
I believe that, it is intuitive if the sender will recieve notification directly to his email address plus, in the File Sharing once the recipient(s) downloaded the file.
This will automate the process minimizing and load-balancing the bandwidth usage for the Serv U server, as most likely email service is running all day long than this FTP service in business perspective.
I do believe that more and more subscribers of this application same like us is looking forward to have this option. Since Serv U made it through and so far, little thwack, tweak i mean will do the trick.
Looking forward and crossing my fingers.
Sincerely - Norman
