Better Wizards and Documentation to Add Unix Based Nodes

Hello,

Currently LEM allows to run a simple wizard for adding nodes connectors, and it works fine for common nodes. But when one wants to correlate systems like IBM AIX or HP UX, the available

documentation to add these kind of systems is not easy to find (for AIX there is an article in the knowledge base, but it´s not enough), and the wizard or connectors don´t bring enough help

to add these nodes, So if a systems administrator doesn´t have deep knowledge about these systems, adding these kind of nodes is very hard. You can install the agent, and it appears

with the status up in the LEM console, then you assign the connector, but when you check for logs, it´s pretty hard to configure these OS or troubleshoot why there aren´t logs, even

for expert administrators.

So please add better wizards, and better documentation to correlate and audit complex OS like AIX and HP-UX or any Unix servers, maybe a few steps on a checklist or baby steps

to start correlation.

I tend to agree, each of our 150 AIX/Linux/Red Hat servers are all a bit different.  We installed 5 servers as a test and not one was setup correctly.  The time I then require from my Unix team becomes excessive and therefore it never gets repaired.  I have no idea haw to streamline this since so much on a unix server can be customized.

The ability to to simply say "grab these files" as syslogs would be great.  Also, manay of these files change thier name with time and date, so the ability to grab besed on wildcards would be awesome!!
