Are there any plans on support for Cisco VSS where it will show the devices like they added support for cisco switch stacks
Why not?
1.Its a Cisco proprietary technology
2.its a Cisco copy of Nortel SMLT technology and that's old...
3.That would make sense 5+ years ago
Proprietary, copy, old, etc: that is irrelevant.
What is relevant is whether a large enough portion of the Orion user base is using the technology and would like to see visualization of that tech in their monitoring solution.
I for one would like to get some visualization of the VSS health status as we are actively deploying this technology on 6800 series switches in a number of our facilities.
VSS isn't just some old outdated technology. It is used with modern/current platforms as well. I am up-voting this one.
The issue we are having is with the backup VSL links. Yes they are down, but that is normal when the primary VSL is up, so it's not a problem.
