We have a golden image that we deploy to users, and our support model is not to try to fix any large pc issues but simply clone the pc, we follow solar winds advice on how to deploy the agent to cloned images, however we have annother issue, in that our usres are all laptop users andmove around our buildin a lot, on each floor are two VLANs with a seperate dhcp range. We find that agents get confused with the constant ip changes and i have to log on remotely, stop the service, delete the certificates and restart the service. However the task is overwhelming for the number of users we have. Would it be possible for the following process to occur with agent enrollemnt. On fist run the unique PC ID is incorporated into the certifcate (this is how the current system works) and add the further step of approving the agent on the LEM. At that point the approval is fixed by certificate and no IP address change would change this. If the laptop was reimaged the approval process can begin again. Interestingly we only have this issue with workstation licences not universal.
