Hi all,
We’re monitoring our F5 BIG-IP devices in SolarWinds and I’d like to improve our Network Atlas maps.
Specifically, I want Pool Members and Virtual Servers from the F5 to appear as individual objects in Network Atlas so I can drag them onto a map, show their status, and link them visually.
Right now:
The F5 node is in Orion and polling (SNMP + iControl)
I can see pool and virtual server info in the Node Details page in the web UI
But in Network Atlas, when I expand the F5 node, I don’t see these pool members or virtual servers as separate child objects I can place on a map
Questions:
What’s the correct method to make F5 pool members and virtual servers show up as mappable objects in Network Atlas?
Do I need specific Universal Device Pollers (UnDP), SAM templates, or API pollers for these to be recognized by Orion and then appear in Atlas?
Is there a way to make this process dynamic, so when pool members or VIPs are added/removed on the F5, the changes are reflected in SolarWinds and available in Network Atlas without manual updates?
Any guidance or example setups would be appreciated.
Thanks,
