Netpath - Individual path via proxy

Hi - we have servers that go out via a proxy for some things and directly out of the firewall for other services.

I'd like the ability to set a proxy per individual netpath so I can mirror the same path that the live traffic is going.

can this be added?

It would be a huge help to "monitor" the path the user takes as a whole and not just point along the that path. Through the proxy, through the firewall, and out to the internet. Or to a wan site via a wan accelerators.

Very strong idea, cause Netpath is used to replicate user path it would be good to have ability to add proxy per location/probe.

Good Idea and this allows admins to have NetPath use different Proxy server at different location.

I can see the benefits. I'd think there'd have to be a place where a proxy is defined/required for each different NetPath solution.

Or force a specific route that includes the Proxy for some NetPaths, and avoid that route for others. I'll be interested to see how this turns out.

If you don't find a way to do this that specifically meets your needs, think about whether there are ways to work around it.

For example, If your main NPM poller is already set up for one NetPath to a specific destination, is there a way you can leverage NetPath on an Additional Polling Engine to follow a different path, use a different proxy, etc.?

Or just install the windows agent on some windows machines at different locations and use them as the NetPath source.

The issue is not for the Orion environment to have the path, but it would be nice, but to have the path that the partner would take. An agent on a partner system would be Great if NetPath could take advantage of the that path. But It must be able to take the same path as the partner, Via the Proxy then out the Firewall and back again. Going "around" these does not give a true path that the partner uses.

Netpath Is USELESS for any situation when a proxy redirect is used and a router in not under your control. this is the case for us and user traffic is not accurate when going out the default gateway
