Configuring switch cisco 2960

Hello everybody,

What I need to configure in a switch cisco 2960 to work with VNQM? For example:

ip sla responder {tcp-connect | udp-echo} ipaddress ip-address port port-number

snmp-server community string [view view-name] [ro | rw] [access-list-number]

Another question: This switch work well with VNQM?

Hi, Tainã Rodrigues,

1. A word of caution, 2960s do not have a lot of resources for extra features, I've actually crashed a 2960 by having too many IP SLA policies (5) on it or pointed at it.

2. You need to ensure the 2960 has IOS 12.2(4)SE or above running.

3. I'm not a fan of letting VNQM configure IPSLA on my switches, so I have created templates that I can deploy manually.

Does it work well? As well as any other switch, but it is limited in resources and capability.

Did you decide on the 2960 for your IP SLA responders?

I am debating getting some more temp but I think I'll re-use our 4948's as they come out of production since they have much better IP SLA support vs the Lan Base OS.
