Toggle the SQL status from the query drilldown page

Being able to toggle the SQL status from the query drilldown page, for "Sending data" there is not much I can do - make my SELECT smaller or get a bigger network!

Whereas on "Sorting result" I can easily make massive improvements by adding an index.

Point 1 - If I could untick them all and just tick "sorting result", so the result list just shows that portion of the bar chart

Point 2 - This query could have an index and then most likely not even show on the dashboard

Hi,

Thanks for you idea, we do plan to improve the trends page and make it work more like QPA, where you can dynamically hide items off the chart.

You may already do this, but you can accomplish this today by clicking the next tab "Wait (States)", which will show you the wait ranked by wait type. If you click on the left link beside the bar, you will then filter on that wait type, and your breadcrumbs should look like this:

Server Name > Nov 9 > 8AM-9AM > sorting result

Then you will get a list of queries, ranked by most wait, like this (I had to use a different type of wait) - and you can drill down to QPA from there.
