Current LEM client functionality relies on the proper operation of Microsoft's eventlog service. If eventlog service isn't running or is stopped for some reason, the LEM client doesn't recognize that anything is wrong -- The LEM client appears as working correctly, but it really isn't. I would like to see some sort of "heartbeat" capability that has the ability to monitor the status of the eventlog service and report/alert to the LEM server if the client's eventlog service fails. It would be awesome if we could generate a "pop-up" message on the LEM server monitor indicating when this situation is true.
