A) The question I want to answer is "How are things so far today compared with the same day last week?"
As an example, when I am looking at the Trends view for a day, I'd like the option to select whether or not to show the data for the same day of the week for the prior week as a comparison. Even if it were just a line overlayed onto the current chart that would show the total wait by interval and not the detailed breakdown by category (SQL, Wait, Program. etc.), that would still be helpful.
The question I want to answer is "What trends are there for the same day of the week over time".
As an example, the SQL chart for All Days would be more useful if I could "fold" it, so that the bars for the same day of the week were grouped. There would be a group of bars for each day of the week, and within each group there would be a bar for each date in the last 30 days that fell on that day of the week. A more simplistic way of doing it would be to let me select which day of the week I want to see (or all of them, which is what I see now). If I picked "Mondays", the chart would only show bars for the Mondays in the last 30 days.
