Allow Custom Properties to be applied to Hardware Sensors

In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to route alerts for critical hardware components to specific teams. This can be done at the moment by using a combination of note CP, and hardware sensor name, but to make this easier, could we expand the Custom Properties suite to include hardware components?

I hope for that feature

because it will let you build a element profile that could include /exlude HW sensors or universal poller or any other attribute..

I have a need for this right now to override certain alerts on hardware sensors with known compatibility issues, but not muting the alert or the hardware sensor monitor entirely.
