FEATURE REQUEST - Comments in alert criteria

We have some alerts that have pretty complex trigger criteria that can be a couple of pages long. It would be great to have some kind of comments field on the and/or blocks to help explain why they are there. For instance we have a few people that set up alerts or will change them as request by the application teams. If one person creates the alert it might make sense to them, but someone coming into it without knowing the history might not understand why certain things are set a certain way. This would be useful for the same reason that comments are used in programming.

I've up-voted this as it would have its uses however isn't this covered in doing a technical handover to the teams that will use the product?

I mean if an alert is that complex then maybe it should have a handover/Doc to actually explain it?

I know that's what I've done with complex conditional group alerts

The monitoring is all done by our team so there is nothing actually turned over to other teams. Right now any notes are kept in a Word doc with the associated applications's other documents, but would still find the comments very useful while actually looking at the criteria vs going back to the word doc.

Another use case here is for exceptions from an alert. For instance I have some alerts that globally trigger for disk utilization. Due to some issues with SNMP I need to exclude certain servers from this alert. I would like to out comments on those specific criteria so that I can explain why they are excluded and list any supporting tickets/etc for it.
