Over the years for various different issues raised, support have suggested several times to rename some .sdf one files to old, copy and rename the blanks to replace them. Right click properties and untick read only on them and restart services
Doing so is time consuming with numerous engines, should go smoothly of course more so when you remember the 'untick read only' step on all, but did have a nightmare Friday once when it did not - thank goodness for the stored old files which then worked fine afterwards and original issue even went away.
Can it not just be included in to a regular routine maintenance activity behind the scenes?
