I just upgraded to IPAM 4.3.2 and am trying to implement more integration into our network. I have added some AD DNS servers hoping to be able to do central DNS management via IPAM. This has been disappointing.
A couple features that are a MUST for IPAM:
1) I added a DNS record to a zone and it's not showing up in IPAM even after a new scan. It does appear on the DNS server in AD. There needs to be a faster sync between IPAM and the DNS server to leverage the DNS management. Once you add a record, it should do a sync so the changes will show up in IPAM.
2) There is no way to search for DNS records!!! This should be a given for anything involving DNS. Clicking through pages to search for a record is very bad...
3) Ability to integrate into another ORION server. I would love to be able to hook this into our primary ORION monitoring server. That does not seem to be possible.
I know this is not your main product, but it needs some basic functionality.
