SAM 5.0 added disk I/O metrics to the Real-Time Process Explorer, and SAM 5.5 adds disk I/O metrics for logical volumes, but what would be nice is if the processes and services already monitored by SAM also collected storage I/O performance metrics so this information could be trended over time, as well as reported and alerted upon. This would allow me to determine which application/process running on the server is chewing up all my disk I/O without having to catch it at the exact moment it's occurring with the Real-Time Process Explorer.
