Solarwinds Orion can trigger email notification when a node goes down. However, we expected Alert to be able to place a phone call when the node goes down or critical.
I would agree with this feature. It would be very nice to see something like this implemented.
Build out a way to integrate a Counterpath Briaa type application (Or solarwinds develop their own) that could be the dialing engine for the Solarwinds server. Register the dialer application as a SIP extension directly to the organizations PBX.
Based on the alert rules for those specific devices, it would send emails and then call if it is down for XX amount of time.
Give an option to upload a pre-recorded .wav file that is either pre-canned by Solarwinds or something the customer can upload based for it to play. Then give basic option to acknowledge the alert by dialing *99* for example to end the dialing sequence.
