AJAX lists: Maps, Blended Nodes/Maps, Maps Custom Properties

I have a circumstance in my environment I find irksome in a presentational context.

We have a large number of HSPA Cellular sites. About half of them are a single router, or a router and switch, and don't merit a full map to maintain and deal with for their lesser existence. The other half range from 5-10 node sites to over 60: these merit maps, but are categorically identical to the minor sites.

I would like to be able to present both maps and individual nodes in an AJAX list, or similar. I use the AJAX list for node presentation, custom groupings, analytics and support all the time. Being able to present a blended list of nodes and maps would make this much more versatile for me.

Any thoughts?

I'm game for any customizable grouping, via group or template, map, app or custom property (and even the few things that I didn't think of on this fly) that I would be able to sort my nodes by within the AJAX!
