FEATURE REQUEST - Cisco ASA 5525 and Cisco 3850 discovered as machine type of "Cisco" only

I have opened case number 484602 and was directed to open a feature request for my issue.  To summarize, I have recently added both Cisco ASA 5525s and Cisco Catalyst 3850s to my NPM 10.5 install.  When they are added, the machine type that is discovered for both is only "Cisco", not the full machine type.  Within my environment I am heavily dependent on machine types for customized views.  Since both device types show up as only Cisco, I am completely unable to customize my views at a granular level for these two machine types.  If they were similar in function it wouldn't be as big of an issue, but one is a firewall and the other is a switch, so they serve completely disparate functions, and as such the information I would choose to provide in the views is very different from a network management standpoint.  I would like to see this fixed as a hot fix rather than having to wait for the next official release of the NPM product line, which is what was implied by my case response.  Please see below for screen shots to clarify my issue.

Couldn't agree more how hard can it be to move the enumeration of machine types to a database table (probably harder than it sounds). But come on dev if you do this we can stop hassling you to add stuff and do it ourselves until you add it to the core product with a new release.
