What is filling my volume?

I would love for SAM to have a utility that could be ran on demand to help identify what us using all of my disk space. I am thinking something that is ran similar to the Process Explorer or Log Viewer but provides data similar to WinDirStat. I receive more volume utilization alerts than just about anything else and having the ability to more quickly identify the cause of the utilization would really be awesome.

This would be a fantastic addition! We have a NOC staff that fronts and handles most of those alerts for us. I do agree though having such a tool would be very nice and prevent us from having to use third party tools such as windirstat.

This is already possible today using TreeSize Pro with SAM. I have this setup in my lab to run on-demand and email me a report when a volume has less than 1GB free. Below is an example of what that looks like.

It does require blat for the email send action, but the alert trigger action is a simple batch file shown below called from the Advanced Alert Manager from a volume trigger condition.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\JAM Software\TreeSize Professional\TreeSize.exe" /HTML "C:\Windows\Temp\%2.HTML" %1$

BLAT "C:\Windows\Temp\%2.HTML" -S "%~3 is %~4 used" -to me@domain.ext -f orion@server.com -server smtp.domain.ext
