Enable native EKS container monitoring in the on-prem/self-hosted product — without requiring a host node — to match the capabilities available in the Observability SaaS product.
Background & Problem:
In the self-hosted/on-prem SAM product, container monitoring currently requires linking to a host node in order to collect container data.
Because of this dependency, EKS workloads (which are orchestrated in managed Kubernetes clusters) are not supported in on-prem deployments.
