This is a follow up to my Case 519173 - Unable to get Xiotech Empress Perfomance Stats.
After attempting to configure a couple of Xiotech Emprise 5000 ISE storage arrays (as Emprise 7000) SolarWinds support rep Rey Larano informed me that this particular device is not supported in the Stg Mgr release 5.3.3. Apparently only the Emprise 7000 series ISE arrays are supported although they are very similar in functionality. The Emprise 5000 has been in GA for about 2 years and the Emprise 7000 about 1 year. I was unable to use Stg Mgr with my Emprise 5000 devices earlier as support wasn't available for the Emprise series. Now SolarWinds has decided to skip this series entirely in favor of the 7000 series. There are several older models of other vendors supported in STM so I'm baffled why this was passed over. Please add support for the Xiotech Empress 5000 devices so I don't have to go to another product to get the performance data.
