Storage virtualization and 'thin' storage are the backbone of a cloud-ready datacenter. The duties of a Storage Administrator have not changed; we are charged with collecting and acting on information gathered from reports. One of the most important and most difficult to track is the growth/forecast report. It is absolutely critical that this type of report is available. Currently, if an administrator wishes to generate a forecasting report for an EMC array's Thin Pools, they must take several csv, compile them into a spreadsheet and extrapolate the data from there. This defeats much of the purpose of the Storage Manager product for admins working on those products. Nearly every other storage type within Storage Manager appears to have a forecasting function; I bring this up as it should be a fairly simple matter to add this functionality to this particular report.
