Views linked to User Profile

The views in SW are very nice, and I really appreciate the ease of customization. However, I think it would be great if it these could be somehow linked to User Profiles. I mean, if there is someone who likes his/her view slightly different, it should be easy for him/her to change it without changing the view for all other SW users. I know that the SW admins can change views and create new menu options, based on the needs for each user/team. However, that is much more complicated than to simply let the users do whatever they want with their views. At worse, they messed up their views so bad that they have to be reset by the SW admin.

Anyway, if you too would like user-based views in SW, please vote for this idea. Have a great day, everyone!!!

The challenge here is if they change a common view or delete something that affects other users.

Now if they had their own copy of a view to play with such that if they hork it up it won't affect others and a base can be restored for them...then I am for it.

With that said...most of the users (not counting the engineers or NOC analyst) don't have any inner working knowledge of Solarwinds other than the views we

have created for them...so I do not know how effective the option will be.

Yes, that feature would only be available to the NOC and some of the IT folks. For all others, I wouldn't allow rights to change views. I still think it is worthwhile, so each person can have his/her own view w/o affecting everyone else.
