We have a weekly report that shows us nodes VIM tables that do not have a counterpart in the NPM Nodes table. This report shows us nodes that we need to add to NPM that are missing for the week.
Every so often we see nodes that appear in the report that are already in NPM but are not mapped to the VIM tables. To fix this we try a rediscovery of the node and if that fails to map the node to the Virtualization fields we need to delete and then add the node back in through the Virtualization Tab.

Our issue is we have nodes that we do not want to delete and then add back in because we would lose valuable data. For example we have Virtual F5s that have been collecting great data. We have custom dashboards setup and links that reference the current NodeID, deleting and adding the nodes back in again is not a great solution as we would lose this data and would need to redo our custom links.
We are looking for a feature to manually map VIM Nodes to NPM Nodes.
