Organize Custom Properties

We have about 30 custom properties used for multiple reasons like grouping, alerts, and displaying on the map. The problem is 5 are used for one type of device, another 5 for another and so on. It would be nice to have the ability to group certain custom properties used for a certain node grouped together so they don't get missed. Example: We have CDU's that have a temp probe on it and we track what kind of AC they have and server cabinet. I would want to group those custom properties in a CDU folder so we can select that folder and choose the correct options for those custom properties and ignore if not adding a CDU. Similar to how the pollers look when adding a new node. When we add a CDU we have a CDU drop down with all the CDU pollers in there to select.

To piggyback on this... Add a floating 'SUBMIT' / 'CANCEL' button pair to the "Edit Properties" page

EBeach YES! This most definitely needs to happen. This has been discussed many times, and could be based either on the view, or device type, as those 2 mechanics are already in place. Either have an option, when creating a view, to allow xyz custom properties, or, an option to assign custom properties to each device type. I would vote for having them based on the view, as some may use the same device types for different purposes. Again, either way, this would be a much welcomed feature!
