I have found that anytime I add or remove an ESX datastore (LUN) from one of our ESX clusters, SAM hardware monitors go berserk and light up my events page with bogus events. It appears that SAM interprets this as a faulty/critical disk. SAM needs to be able to differentiate between a standard disk on a server and an ESX datastore. We should not receive any kind of alerts of a datastore is added or removed from an ESX cluster.
