In the MIB browser page, I would be delighted to have the following additions:
When you click on MIB Browser from a node page, the MIB browser is opened in that same window. Once you are done, there are no "I'm done, go back to node button" to go back to the previous page.
- When browsing from a Node page (server.domain.com/Orion/MIBBrowser.aspx?NetObject=1234) , I would like to have the option to automagically add the SysOID of said node. Every time I'm trying something, I realize that I forgot and I have to go back to the node, copy the SysOID, go back to the MIB Browser page and paste that in the search box. It would be a time saver
- When you are in that same page, there is no indication on which device you are polling. The device name (caption), vendor & SysOID should be there as indicator. Useful when you have many open tabs!
- A sort option would be nice for the MIB tree. Currently it is displayed based on the branch number, but it could be useful to be able to sort by alphabetical order (ascending or descending) when looking for something specific.
- Granular options for Search box could be useful. By default, a search query is being made in Name & Description. Query are sometime long. Being able to search only in one of those fields, or only for a vendor name could narrow searches.
In example:
- If you cut & paste an OID from another system, they are often represented by a leading dot. This yields an error. The search should make abstraction of that first dot to be compatible with other's representation of the OID space...
- Always from that same page, once I polled a specific OID, I would like to be able to create an UnDP poll straight from that page (or at least a "wish list" that can be executed later). Pretty pleeeeeeeeeeassssse!
