I think it would be great if the node list section on the home summary would be scroll enabled divs. Due the grouping required by my organization, the list ends up being very long forcing a "endless scroll". It also distorts the layout of the page a leaves a lot of blank space at the bottom. Now bare in mind what I am proposing is not a mandatory scroll bars, maybe an option to turn the scroll functionality on and off and maybe a setting to control the maximum size of the div before it scrolls. This would allow others to keep their screens as they have come accustomed to it.
To abstract the idea I think this could be applied to any of the panels in the web user interface and not just the node list.
