I'd like to see a feature added so that data beyond a certain time period is only stored in Summary form. Currently, we need to retain daily statistical data from NTA for 13 months. In NTA 4.2.2 the only way to keep summary data is to keep all data. This results in a huge database that is not performant and is difficult to manage. Our NTA database is over 600GB and we haven't reached a full year yet. In addition, we would like to add further flow sources. In our example, we would retain all data for 3 months, beyond which we would only retain the daily statistics, without the detail behind it. I was pretty sure this function existed in an old version of NTA, but I may be wrong. It would certainly greatly enhance both the use of the tool to analyse recent traffic, while still being able to provide useful data for historical analysis. Or it may be that an Archive option, to move data beyond a defined time period to an Archive DB would be a better option, but I imagine this would be more difficult to impliment Of course, if a customer wants to retain all data, they also have that option.
