SolarWinds API should support OAUTH2 and Bearer Token, and not just basic auth.

Currently the SolarWinds API supports Basic Auth. There ought to be options to configure and use OATH2 and/or Bearer/Token. Microsoft is deprecating Basic Auth currently, leaving the SolarWinds API in a less than desirable position. The SolarWinds API monitoring supports multiple authentication methods, so why can't the actual SolarWinds API?

ok, I think you may have a separate question. If you want to access SolarWinds data via the SolarWinds api, then this is the correct thread. If you want to access the 4me api using SolarWinds to make the calls - that would best answered in the general forums, most likely under SAM (server and application monitor). If you can specify, I may be able to head you to a better forum to get answers.

I can't understand why this hasn't been implemented yet. Some of the simplest, cheapest solutions out there support authentication methods like mentioned ones. I voted up.

Thank you for your vote. And no, I do not have any good news on this (yet). Given the implications of the user accounts required to make this work, this really needs to be implemented.
