Most of our alerts are controlled through Custom properties assigned at the Node, Volume, or Application level. This works well for email destinations and thresholds, however we have very different needs from server to server when it comes to duration of a condition before it is truly a problem. In some cases, we need to know right away if a CPU spikes. In others, it's perfectly normal to have a CPU spike for two hours during a routine process before it is a problem. It would be good to have this controlled through a custom property.
