It would be helpful to have NCM be able to bulk import configs from a share drive based on node name and/or ip address through the NCM web gui as well as NCM Manager on the server. For example, due to the way APC has implemented FTP/TFTP/SCP for UPS devices, APC does not give you the ability to specify/override the destination filename for the device config.ini file. In order to workaround this limitation, we created a custom script that copies and renames the config.ini file to <nodename>.ini, we copy all the UPS configs to a share drive, then we RDP to the NCM server, map the share drive, then import (drag & drop), one-by-one, each UPS config file using the NCM Manager app to each UPS node in the Node List. Yes, this is a pain in the a--! when you have almost 500 UPSs but it gives us a way to police any configuration changes.
