Add global quick search to menu bar

How cool would it be to have a quick search box in the menu bar that was always available?

Answer: Super cool. It's cumbersome to have to naviagate to a page with a search box on it.

I've accomplished something that works equivalently by customizing my team's Orion Home Page to include the Search Node function:

Might this work for you? I realize you probably want something higher up the chain that would be available from any place in NPM. But this is easy to do, and easy to get at by just going to your Home page. Maybe it will serve your needs until the desired feature request is acted on by Solarwinds?

Yes, I have done this as well. And it works fine. But you are right, I want it at a higher level and always available no matter where I am.
