DPA displays when a query has used multiple plans however it is unclear when the query plan changed. In the native MDW / data collector as well as indicating that a query used multiple plans it reports at what date/time the new plan was used. It also displays what parameters the query is optimized for. This information is extremely useful when diagnosing a sudden drop in query performance.
