EOC vs NPM

I just started with a new company and I have been tasked to review the Solarwinds installation and upgrade to the latest versions. This company has EOC and NPM, just wondering what the differences between the two softwares.

They currently have EOC installed but it doesn't seem very robust like NPM. In the last company I work at they had NPM installed and I was able to do a lot with it.

Thoughts?

You can have EOC and NPM on the same server, just the NPM must be version 10.1 or higher.

EOC aggregates and rolls up data from several NPM installations to give you a network wide view.

Is it possible to have both EOC and NPM on the same installation, same server?

We have two different pollers in two different data center locations, just wondering what approch I should go with these two. Each location has their own Orion site.
