How do SP's allow access to their monitored data?

Question

I have a requirement that I need to try and meet revolving allowing one of my customers to gain access to the SW configuration management.  Is it possible to transfer a login to a specific page within SW for a user account across a URL.  What I would like to do is email the admin's a URL that will log them in and take them to the configuration management piece.

Has anyone had any luck in this?  Am I crazy to even think such a thing?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you want to send an SSO link to the config management admins and only allow them into NCM? If so, do you have an AD group in place that defines these admins? If that is the case this is easy to do. Just lock out all of the other tabs (non NCM tabs) for those users and assign them the proper access level in NCM settings. You can also use a link with an embedded credentials but this is not a good security practice.
