I would like to see this function built in the new NTA version 4.4
In case any of you aren't familiar with the situation, the next major release of NTA is going to be moving from the Fastbit standalone DB back into MS SQL. Unfortunately there is no reliable method built yet to migrate the existing FSDB data into the new MSSQL structure. The proposed plan is just to install the upgrade and start fresh but some environments are not going to be happy with that.
That plan is not ready for prime time, then. Baselines - remember them?
:-)
Just adding a reference to this:
NTA version 4.4 is available
Wish I could vote this up several more times! Not looking forward to losing my historic data.

Did the upgrade to 2018.2 and NPM 12.3 without NTA 4.4 because of this reason. Hopefully 4.2.3 will be supported until a method is devised to migrate existing flow data in to the SQL database.
Agreed. We have log retention requirements that are keeping us from upgrading. NetFlow are logs in the audit and compliance world.
i am hoping for a tool to migrate flow data to the SQL. cant afford to loose any
It's so silo'd at my company that every department buys their own tools. I'm not going to worry about losing my netflows, I'll just send them over to one of the four other departments that store Netflow.
Can anyone tell me if there is still no migration path for FSDB data when moving from NTA 4.2.3 using FastBit to NTA 4.6 using SQL?
No tool exists and one is unlikely to be created.
